RITE OF PASSAGE....AGAIN

I AM THE ONE SITTING ON DR. FRANKLIN'S LAP! 

As you know from my past blogs, all of the Doctors that come to work at my Mom’s place have to get their pictures taken with me. It is the only way that they get to keep their job because I am THAT important. My newest victim, I mean volunteer is Dr. Sam Franklin. He is the newest surgeon at Colorado Canine Orthopedics. He comes from Georgia and the only thing that meant to me was the whole “Georgia peach” thing. He didn’t give me any peaches when I met him, but I didn’t actually ask for one. I did ask for some ham but he was unprepared for my request. This could also put his job in jeopardy, but luckily for him, he is a super good surgeon and has some excellent social skills so I will overlook this little mishap. Our first picture included my girl friends at the front desk. Dr. Franklin might have been a little bit afraid of me and my reputation for accidental biting. He could then toss me to one of the girls to feel safer. Who knows, but everyone wants to have me in their pictures! This blog should not really be about me, it should be about Dr. Franklin. Please join me in welcoming him to Colorado. We are super happy to have him, even if he doesn’t have any ham on request.

LOOK HOW TALL I APPEAR TO BE!!!

So there are some ginormous dog beds at my house. The big dogs all get on them and sleep and drool and stuff. Recently these beds have been stacked up so they are one tall bed. It is now my favorite thing (next to ham). I like to race like a speeding Chihuahua bullet and jump onto the big, high bed! Then I do my weird dig thing and I scratch the whole bed. I might look silly doing it, but I don’t care. This is like my own high-rise condo or a high lookout place to see the scenery. I feel taller just telling you about it. Take some time today to find a high place where you can enjoy the scenery. If the scenery isn’t good then you can dig around like I do and see if you find something good!

I don’t always give my Mom much credit for being my dog Mom, but with the whole special day thing coming up, I think I should say something positive and uplifting. I love my Mom. She takes very good care of me and gets me stuff that I want. She does yell at me sometimes, but even I know that I kind of deserve it. She puts up with a lot from me and I think she is privileged to do so. Not everyone gets to be mad a ME every day. I know it is an honor for my Mom that she doesn’t take lightly. Anyway, for all of the dog Mom’s out there….Happy Furry Mother’s Day.

CINCO DE PIE-O

I AM ONLY WEARING THIS HAT SO THAT I WILL GET PIE!

I wasn’t even going to write an actual blog this week as I will be celebrating my little Mexican holiday, but I decided to anyway. You see, I would like to start another Mexican holiday and it will center around PIE! This festive day of pie will involve lots of different kinds of pie to be tasted by me. I will be the judge of the pie contest and I might share some with you if I get too full. I think I will like my holiday better than the one we have now. I am also thinking of learning some Spanish. I am kind of embarrassed that I don’t know the native language. I probably won’t write my blog in Spanish, but I will be fluent in case I meet a distant relative or if I take a trip there, or if I just want to impress the ladies with my language finesse. Whatever, just give me some pie and tell me how to say Chihuahua in Spanish.
