CHIHUAHUA ACCESSORIES

THIS CHIHUAHUA AROUND MY NECK IS MUCH SMALLER THAN ME!
My Mom got a little Chihuahua necklace for her birthday and I am so honored. I didn’t know that I gave my permission to have jewelry made in my image, but I guess it is kind of cool that someone would want to hang me around their neck. There could be many worse things to have on a necklace….like a creepy spider or a Rhinoceros or maybe even an Aardvark or something. Everyone should want a little reminder of me wherever they go. Maybe they can start making rings and earrings with my cute little face on them. I will be the fashion statement in the jewelry industry with my jewelry selling more than all the famous brands. I can see it now. You would buy my stuff wouldn’t you? You would wear the little me every day right? I knew I could count on you. My fans have the finest taste in jewelry and dogs!

LETS DO LUNCH

My Dad just got a new lunch box and wow is it big. There is enough room for lots of stuff like ham sandwiches, potato chips and even a six pack of beer. I don’t think he is allowed to bring beer to work, but who knows? Beer can be a productive part of the work force or so I’ve heard. So anyway, this lunch box could even fit ME inside! Just think, if I could sneak in there, I could go for a little ride and snack along the way. Wouldn’t my Dad be surprised if he got to work and all of his food was gone? I guess he would probably know it was me since I would be all by myself inside the giant lunch box. Maybe I should just get my very own lunch box and fill it with all of my favorite things. I could just hang out inside my lunch box all day long. I wonder if my blanket would fit in there too. Never mind, I don’t want to waste any of my storage space that could be used for food. This blog is a clear reminder of how my little brain works and how many creative things I can come up with to get me closer to food!

LOVE ME TENDER

When I hear the song Love Me Tender it makes me think of Chicken Tenders! Yum! With Valentine’s Day on its way, you may be thinking about a different kind of love. I really don’t care too much about all of the mushy gushy stuff that goes with Valentines Day. I am thinking more about gift suggestions for that certain special Chihuahua in your life. That not to be mentioned by name Chihuahua would like to give you a little list and let me just say, you won’t be going to a jewelry store and the only kind of flowers that will work are the ones that are made out of potato chips! Yum! This gift list cannot include chocolate cause I hear it is bad for me, I mean bad for your special Chihuahua. So instead you could get a heart shaped ham or those love me chicken tenders mentioned earlier. It is also a nice little surprise to get a little gift basket with a variety of yummies that can be savored and enjoyed for an entire week. Keep in mind these are just suggestions. I am sure that I will love any gift that you get for me since it means that you love me and if you get me a gift, just know that I will then love you too!!!

BRONCO MANIA….

I AM READY FOR THE BIG GAME
I am a little bit reluctant to jump on the Bronco bandwagon after the last Super Bowl experience, but maybe they will wise up and let me play. I am ready. I have been practicing my punting, my tackling and my unnecessary roughness with the girls who share my living space. They are tired of me practicing, but they think I am ready too. They probably just want to get me on a plane to California so they can have some quiet time. I think I will be the Quarterback, but since I am so small, I will be called the Penny Back. No one will even be able to see me as I streak around the field. This strategy will catch the other team by surprise. This Chihuahua will be so fast, the Panther won’t even know what hit him. Actually, I don’t want to play against a Panther. It might want to eat me. Come to think of it, I have been sleeping a lot lately. Maybe I am coming down with something. (cough, cough…achooo) So maybe this year is not the year that I show off my football skills. I may have to just watch the game on TV in my comfortable house with a beer while the Panther eats someone else!

HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY

I GOT NOTHING!

There is no question about being positive or negative. I think I am a positive kind of guy, but the truth is my treat ball is EMPTY! I can’t sugarcoat it or say it nicely. There are no noises in the ball as I am pushing it around. There are no little snackies dropping out and that is an issue for me. I need a refill and I need one now. The ball was made to have treats in it! It has a purpose and that is to give me a reward for pushing it around. I am patient and persistent while pushing my ball around, but no amount of persistence can create treats in the ball if it is EMPTY! Does this whole scenario ring true for you in certain areas of your life? You work at something, you try to be patient and then you get the shaft. I know…it is not fair. I think as a group we need to be more demanding when it comes to emptiness that should be fullness! If we speak up, maybe our treat balls will be full again. Join me in fighting against emptiness. We want full, full. Not half full. I am POSITIVE that this is what I want!

EVERY DAY IS A GIFT

I always try to write my blogs with fun thoughts and witty stuff. This week I must write a tribute to my big brother and alpha dog Sabre who left us to go to dog heaven. I promised him that I would make this a celebration of his great dog life cause he wouldn't want us to be sad. He was the smartest dog (even smarter than me.) He used to get the paper for my Dad. He would find it no matter where it landed. He even got a paper from an unknown house in New York when he travelled there once. He would slip off the couch right before my Dad would come home knowing that my Dad didn’t want him up there, but my Mom would sneak him up there all of the time. He was the alpha at our house and even I had to follow his lead. It was ok with me since he was a pretty good guy. I know that we will miss him so much, but I know he would just want us to remember how great it was having him for as long as we did. I don’t think I can fill his paws as the alpha dog. I may be a little too short and maybe too snarky. Hug and love on your great dogs and remember every day is a little gift!

LUNCH DATE

LOOK- HERE WE ARE CHECKING OUT EACH OTHER'S TEETH!

I went to my Mom’s work to visit last week and I had a little ham lunch date with my friend Dr. Tony Woodward. He offered to buy me some lunch so I jumped in my little carrier and went for a ride. Usually I would rather stay home and meditate in my blanket, but I really like Dr. Woodward. He knows my quirks and he likes me anyway. He also knows that I am a sucker for ham and will perform tricks or take long car rides or whatever it takes. We met at his office and true to his word he had possession of the ham. We made the exchange quickly with no fuss. He is smart too since he knows to feed me like a horse with his palms open. (I am not so good when there are fingers involved). It was a lovely experience except for the little Boston Terrier that was watching the whole ham thing and decided that he wanted in on the action. The little jerk got away with some of MY ham. Can you believe it? Next time we will meet in private where there are no other dogs trying to get a piece of what is mine. So there!
