Thanksgiving Food Hangover

Well here I am sleepy again. The holiday has come and gone and all I remember is a blur of a Chihuahua induced feeding frenzy. I have dreams of turkey and pie all flying into my mouth at warp speed and me trying to get more, but knowing that the food is all gone. Black Friday for me means that all I can see is the black under my blanket where no light can get through so that I can sleep off my Thanksgiving binge. I am not the only one who feels this way. Everyone in my house is just a bit sluggish and not able to get around very quickly. The dogs are all napping a lot and my parents won’t get out of bed. Wow, what a holiday. I do hope that my Mom will get up and go shopping on Black Friday and maybe she will bring home some presents for me that she got on clearance! (Whatever that means) I only understand PRESENTS and ME. This is all the information I need to feel safe, secure and spoiled no matter what holiday comes around. If you have over-fed yourself on Thanksgiving, you are not alone. Get some sleep and be ready for the next holiday where food is the star of the show and I am the best supporting actor! Do you think they make a tuxedo in my size? I hope I won’t look fat on TV!

A Turkey For You and a Turkey For ME!

I want to paws for a moment and talk about Thanksgiving. It is a time for being thankful for all that we have been blessed with. It is not just about food. Right! It is all about food. This year, I have my own little Turkey-Day dinner complete with a little salad and a Chuck sized pumpkin pie. I will probably not even stop to say the blessing or even count my blessings. I will dive right in and show that little Turkey who is boss. There will be no Turkey carving needed on my behalf. I am like my own little carving knife with my little sharp teeth. Keep your hands and feet out of my way! I hope everyone has a lovely holiday and gets to enjoy a nice dinner. You just can’t have any of mine! Get your own!
Happy Thanksgiving

Well-deserved break….

I am really sleepy this week. I spent the weekend at Aunt Chris’s house with all of my favorite toys and I got home and played with all of my favorite toys. Life is busy. Sometimes I think I need a little break from all of the activity. I am only getting about 20 hours of sleep and if I don’t get 23 hours, I am just no fun. It can just be difficult being a popular Chihuahua blogger. Everyone expects so much from me and sometimes I just want to sleep in my bag and not come out (except for food of course). So, this brief little discussion is my blog for the week. Forgive me if I am just too sleepy to put very much into it. I promise that next week I will be more enthusiastic

Chuck’s 1st Friend

When I was about a month old, my Mom met a puppy that also needed a home. He was a cattle dog and my Dad had always wanted one of those. At the time, I didn’t know what that meant, but now I think that I could be a cattle dog since you get to be in charge, round everyone up and tell them what to do. As long as there aren’t any real cows to chase, I think I could do that fairly well, but I was not given the opportunity. This puppy was a rescue that was desperately seeking a family so my Mom got him as a surprise for my Dad. His name is Buck and when we were little, we were the best of friends. There weren’t any other dogs at my house that were anywhere close to my size, but Buck was perfect. We would play and I would bite his ears and stuff. You know fun things that you do with your best friend. Well, it didn’t take long for my best friend to outgrow me. He got bigger and I stayed small. We still get to hang out sometimes, but it just isn’t the same. I still bite his ears and he lets me, but I know he could squash me like a tomato if he wanted to. Luckily, he likes me and pretends that I am winning our little imaginary battles and I pretend that too! It is funner that way and perpetuates my oversized ego to make up for my undersized body! I think that is a good thing!
